Some of the benefits of 3T vs 1.5T…
November 6, 2009
Continued research in high field cardiac imaging is yielding good results, with improvements in image quality and reduced scan times. Gains in spatial and temporal resolution with 3T facilitate targeted tissue characterization and access to physiological information. This could lead to MRI replacing digital subtraction angiography for vessel flow and assessment prior to bypass surgery.1 This approach has been impossible at 1.5T.
